1092 (East Side) No 27 SX 9192 SE 5/41 II GV

2. Early C19 in appearance but possibly older. 3 storey stone block with 3 windows at the front and 4 at the side. Later stone mullioned windows on the front, early C19 Gothic windows, some with lead glazing bars, on the side elevation. Pointed arch doorway. Parapet along front, slate roof. Reputed to have formed in part a gatehouse to St Nicholas' Priory but in appearance possibly an early industrial building.

All the listed buildings of Bartholomew Street West form a group.
