Milestone. Early C19. Wedge shape in section, with the outer inscribed face curved; about one metre in height. Inscribed 'FROM LONDON 93 miles to HEVENINGHAM HALL 5'. 2 lead-filled cavities may indicate that the stone was also used as a tethering post for horses.
