the description shall be amended to read:
Farmhouse. A late C16 2-cell range with later work, in 2 phases, to rear (north); altered in late C20. Timber framed and plastered, C20 pantile roof. 2 storeys; a former attic in main range. Windows mainly C20 standard casements. One C16 ground floor window with cavetto mullions. C17 2-storey porch with slightly projecting gable; late C20 tiled pent roof on timber posts. C20 boarded door. 2 stacks against rear wall of main range. Interior: Hall ceiling has cross beams and chamfered joists; the main bridging beam has been reduced in depth. Part of this ceiling has been removed for a straight stair. Service partition also removed. On the upper floor the service chamber has exposed studding with cranked reverse-curved braces. Evidence for wide original windows. The plaster ceiling of this room is divided into a number of square and oblong panels with reeded borders and decorated with incised patterns of foliage with flowers, including vine, tulip, thistle and an ear of barley.
This work is difficult to date but may be of c1700. Roof with one row of wind-braced clasped purlins. The rear addition to the north east once extended further to the rear and is probably the remains of a service wing. Formerly known as Monk Soham House.

One C16 ground floor window with cavetto mullions. C17 2-storey porch with slightly projecting gable; mid C20 boarded-door. 2 stacks against rear wall of main range. Interior Hall ceiling has cross beams and chamfered joists; the main bridging beam has been reduced in depth. Part of this ceiling has been removed for a C19 straight stair.
