SU 6208 SOUTHWICK & WIDLEY BACK LANE 17/18 Nos. 42, 43 and 44 GV II Three cottages. C17 timber frame, with C18 recladding, and mid C19 rear addition.

Walls of brickwork in Flemish and Monk bonds, cambered ground-floor openings, vertical boarding to the outshot. Hipped and half-hipped thatch roof with eye- brow dormers, lower slate roof to the rear extension. South front elevation of one storey and attic three windows. Casements. Two plain doorways to the front and another at the east side. The outshot at the west side links to No. 41, is irregular in form and has thatch and slate roofing.
