ALLENSMORE CP - SO 43 NE 3/5 Barn about 20 yards west of Church House

GV II Barn. Probably C17 with later alterations. Timber-frame, weatherboards and corrugated iron roof. Three bays aligned west-north-west/east-south- east. North elevation is weatherboarded with central 2-leaved ledged doors, probably C18, to threshing floor. Frame is two large square panels high from cill to wall-plate. Attached to right is one-bay C18 two-level extension and to left an early C19 brick building, formerly a ciderhouse. Interior has raking struts from ties to either side of threshing floor. End trusses have queen struts and raking struts above collars. Truss of extension has curved principals tied back to wall-plate. Included for group value.
