MADRON MADRON SW 43 SE 7/165 Armstrong monument north east of - Church of St Maddern GV II Chest tomb with memorial statue over. Early C19 chest, circa 1929 statue. To William Armstrong, son of John and Mary Armstrong, died 1832 aged 29 and to John Scobell Armstrong, born Nancealverne, 1842-1929. Dressed granite chest with shaped lid surmounted by a ball on pedestal and siting on the ball a bronze blindfolded female figure playing a lyre. Square plan chest.
