Description

The photograph is part of a batch taken by John Laing & Son to show the finished contract of Coventry Cathedral, built by the company between mid-1950s and 1962. The Baptistery window was designed by John Piper and was made by Patrick Reyntiens. The 198 panels were designed by John Piper over a period of almost two years between 1958 and 1960. The stained glass was made over three years with installation starting in May 1961.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
