Public house. Early C18, altered and with additions mid and late C19 and late C20. Brick with renewed stucco front and steep pitched slate and pantile roofs. Front has plinth, stucco quoins, frieze with the hotel's name in relief, deep moulded eaves and parapet. Front windows are plain sashes. 2 storeys plus attics; 4 window range. L-plan. Front has 4 sashes and above, 2 low pitched gabled dormers with C20 glazing. To left, shouldered recess with C20 doorway, replacing the carriage entrance. To its right, 3 sashes. Right gable has a C20 attic casement. Rear wing, to right, has a single storey C20 lean-to addition to right, with mullioned leaded windows. Above, 2 Yorkshire sashes, and to right, a C20 casement. Above again, a large C20 flat roofed dormer.
