GV II

House, now offices. Mid/late C17. Coursed squared limestone rubble with traces of old limewash; concrete tile roof; concrete blockwork stack on rear wing. 2 gables to front. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Three 6/6-pane sashes in chamfered stone surrounds, probably with stone mullions and transoms cut out; 2 similar windows in gables above. 3 similar windows to ground floor. 6-panel door in plain reveal to right; decorative overlight, now blocked behind. Moulded string courses over ground and first floors and over windows in gables. Large C17 wing to rear. INTERIOR partly inspected. Ground floor left has plastered beams with broad chamfers and run-out stops; C20 staircase rises from this room. Late C18 stick-baluster staircase, possibly altered, inspected from ground to first floor at rear of building. Half-glazed back door with glazing bars and coloured glass borders. INTERIOR said to retain no fireplaces.
