House. Early C18, altered late C18. Coursed rubblestone. Slate roofs. 2 Storeys, 3 wide bays. 2 storey rear wing at left and single storey C19 rear wing at right. 6 window front with C19 door in open gabled porch off centre and blocked window above. 5 C18 cross casements under shallow gauged stone flat arches. C19 glazing bars and opening lights. Ironstone coved cornice, moulded kneelers and coped gables. Brick gable and centre stacks. Interior: Raised and fielded panelled partitions to rear corridor and between most rooms to both ground and first floor. Outer walls have dado rails. Right hand ground floor room has recessed cupboard with shaped shelves. Early C18 staircase in rear wing has turned balusters to upper flights. Opening into C19 rear wing has wide segmental arch on Doric fluted half columns said to have come from Horton House, Northamptonshire. House built for the Lane family, Lords of the Manor from Mid C17.
