I have set up this page (and may develop in to a full section) so that Digital team members know how to do certain advanced umbraco tasks in order to resolve website issues

Restartinghe application Pool
Recycling the application pool should solve:
- Filters disappearing from site search
- Forcing some dictionary items to show immediately instead of waiting for the caching process to complete.
Please note that doing this can potentially cause a couple of minutes or more of down time for the website
Steps to Recycle Application pool
Once signed in to umbraco select the developer tool tab then God Mode and then select Utilities from the bottom
Now select "Restart the Application Pool". This may take a couple of minutes to complete.
wait a few minutes and check to see if all filter options are showing on the site search page (under filters)
Examine Management and refreshing the Index
After every deploy we will be using the examine management tool in umbraco. This is because we have encountered several issues with items disappearing from the live site. Notably galleries that are associated with a page via a folder are disappearing from the website.
Please note that doing this can potentially cause a couple of minutes or more of down time for the website
Steps to re-index the website
When logged in to the CMS go to the developer tab and then select "examine management" from the main Developer page
scroll to the "indexers" section table and select both ExternalIndexer and InternalIndexer which should then show a list of indexing options including "index info and tools"
click on "indexing info and tools" for ExternalIndexer. This should then present the "rebuild index" button. Click on this and wait a few minutes for it to finish. Once it has do the same thing but with InternalIndexer. Wait 5 minutes or so and check to see if this has resolved the issue.
