Birnbeck Pier, Weston-Super-Mare - North Somerset (UA)

Birnbeck Pier is a unique and nationally important structure connecting the mainland below the Prince Consort Gardens to Birnbeck Island.The pier has now been purchased by the local authority and a partnership with the RNLI and other major funders has been put in place. A repair and restoration scheme has been drawn up, going through consent procedures throughout 2024. It is hoped that a project will commence in 2025 to restore the pier.
