Old Judges House, 26, Westgate Street, Gloucester - Gloucester

Late C15 timber-framed merchant house, greatly enlarged and remodelled in late C16/early C17. Refronted and altered internally c1815. Operated as seed merchant for c100 years until 1989, then partly occupied as bookshop, before becoming vacant. Whilst some repairs have been undertaken, there remain many areas which require attention, particularly the roof and significant joinery. The ground and first floors are now occupied and consent has been granted to install a lift which will enable the upper floors to be used by the antiques centre to help fund roof and joinery repairs.
