TQ 25NW EPSOM LANE NORTH 3/7 (East Side) Epsom Coal Tax Post outside No. 100

Post. c1860. c3½ foot high. Metal four legged plinth with chamfered pier above. Moulded capital band with pyramidal top. City of London Corporation shield cast on the front with lettering on the pier reading: "24 & 25/VICT CAP 42". A coal and wine tax post indicating the boundary at which duty was payable; that on coal dating back to the 1660's.

The asset was previously listed twice also under the district of Epsom and Ewell at List entry 1277037. This entry was removed from the List on 03/08/2016.
