FORD FORD VILLAGE NT 9437 17/100 Black grave c.20 yards north east of Church of St. Michael GV II

Gravestone. 1829-33. Sandstone. Very large curved tablet on moulded base and flanked by round columns. c.10 feet high. Inscribed: Underneath This Monument Are Deposited the Mortal Remains of Thos Black Who Died Decb 15th 1829 Aged 2 Weeks of John Black Who Died June 12th 1833 Aged 18 years and of Jane Black Who Died July 16th 1833 Aged 15 years All of them children of James and Ann Black of Ford Mill Reader Let the memory of these young blossoms cut off in the morning of life, speak to thee With this friendly admonition Be you ready also For in such an hour as ye think not The son of man cometh.
