8/60 Arch over Wade Brook c.300 metres - south east of Worden Hall at SD 539 206

GV II

Stone arch, date and purpose unknown, but probably late C18 romantic ornament. Rubble, with dressed quoins and voussoirs. Single high rounded arch over waterfall abutting a crude rectangular turret (with dry gargoyle) on south bank, continued with one third of an apparently broken arch on the north bank. Part of this structure is in Euxton CP.
