LITTLE BUDWORTH C.P. CHESTER ROAD SJ 66 NW 4/46 Outside Farmhouse. 3.1.67

- II Farmhouse. Early C18 with mid C18 addition. Rendered brick with slate roof. Two storeys. Entrance front: four bays, doorway to right of centre with C19 gabled porch over and C19 ½-glazed door. Two C19 2-light casement windows to left. Projecting band between floors and pilaster buttress to left. First floor three-light window at left and 2-light window at right. To right of this is the slightly projecting mid C18 addition with pilaster buttresses at right and left with two 2-light ground floor casement windows and two similar first floor windows. Interior: Sitting room has raised and fielded panelling with bolection moulded chair rail and two arched niches to the south wall with fluted pilasters to the sides. Chamfered ceiling beams with decorative end stops and moulded wooden cornice above panelling. Ground and first floor doors of six raised and fielded panels. Single-flight staircase with column-on-vase balusters and square newels with reeded corners. Plank doors with H-hinges to attic.
