BLISLAND BLISLAND SX 07 SE 8/45 Beechtree Cottage -

GV II

2 cottages, converted to form 1 house. Circa early C18. Stone rubble. Bitumen coated rag and scantle slate roof with gable ends. Stone rubble end stack on left and stone rubble axial stack near centre. Plan: Pair of 1 room cottages, each originally with entrance on right, probably leading into stair hall with main heated room on left. The right hand cottage may be slightly earlier. C19 and C20 outshot extensions at rear. In circa mid to late C20 the 2 cottages were converted to form 1 house. Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 2 window front. Ground floor with C20 window to left, 4-panel door and C20 window to right adjoining blocked door opening. First floor with 2 C20 windows. Circa C19 and C20 outshot extensions to rear. Interior: not inspected. Situated at west of village green.
