FORD MARDON NT 93 NW 10/120 Mardon Farmhouse II

Farmhouse. c.1840. Scored stucco with ashlar dressings; Welsh slate roof. Two storeys, 3 x 3 bays with lower service wing and mid C19 addition in similar style to rear. Raised alternating quoins and chamfered plinth. Narrow recessed centre bay has 6-panel door with 4-pane overlight, in broad chamfered surround with cornice over; 12-pane sash above and modillion cornice. Flanking bays have 12-pane sashes in raised surrounds with projecting mid-jamb blocks. Wide overhanging stone eaves. Hipped roof with 2 brick ridge stacks.

Similar detail on left return. Round-headed stair window on right return.

Interior: Staircase with slender turned balusters and wreathed handrail. 6-panel doors and panelled shutters; stone corniced fireplaces.
