Series of rock pools, also called The Fairy Glen C1870. Formed of rough sandstone
blocks and slabs, providing a "spring" for the Boating Lake. Four pools, the
uppermost circa 25 feet wide and with banks up to 12 feet high on the northern
side. This pool has overhanging slabs to create waterfalls. The outflow is
conducted through three smaller pools of similar type. Included as probably
a feature of the original design and certainly proposed by the designers, Andre
and Hornblower.
