Parish church. Medieval and later. Flint with ashlar and some brick dressings. Slate and lead roofs. South west tower porch; aisled nave; chancel. C14 tower porch with diagonal buttresses and rectangular stair turret to north west. Massive plain chamfered 2-centred entrance on polygonal responds. Church doorway of filletted rolls on 2 pairs of nook shafts. Elaborately cusped niche above. Rectangular loop to upper floor south side. Plain 2-light Y-traceried bell-openings with a corbel table and a crenellated parapet above. Broken octagonal clockface to east with metal hands. West wall with a restored 3-light window to nave with triple lancet tracery and a pair of restored panel-traceried 2-light windows to aisles. North aisle. C14 doorway of 2 orders with angle rolls and hood mould. 2 C15 3-light panel traceried windows with shallow 4-centred heads. 2-light Perpendicular east window with unusual inverted cross tracery motif. Similar tracery to south aisle. 7 2-light cusped clearstorey windows. C13 or early C14 chancel with 4 2-light Y-traceried windows. Blocked rectangular leper's window to south and a plain priest's doorway. Modern 5-light east window in Geometric style. Interior. 4 bays of early C14 quatrefoil piers supporting hollow-chamfered arches of 2 orders. The piers leave the angles of their square cores apparent. Hollowchamfered chancel arch on polygonal responds. Surviving rood stair to south. South aisle with plain rectangular piscina. C15 moulded aisle roofs with embattled wall plates and spandrel tracery. C15 arch braced nave roof with excessively tall embattled wall plates retaining some original paint. Chancel has a fine piscina with triple sedilia beneath a hollow-chamfered arcade on single shafts with bell capitals. Hood mould with restored label stops. Elaborate aumbry to north side of chancel with a crocketted ogee arch between crocketted pinnacles. Hood moulds to windows with carved head label stops. C14 octagonal font.
