II
Farmhouse. Main portion dated 1805, rear wing dated 1708 and
1724. Brick, with storey band and stone rubble plinth to rear
wing. Hipped tiled roof with dentil course eaves, ashlar coped
brick parapet gable to rear. Integral brick gable-end stacks,
and large brick stack with 3 shafts of spur-moulded brick with
connecting oversailing caps to rear. T-shaped plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and single storey and attic rear wing.
West front is a 2-storey, 3-window range of 8/8 sashes with
stone keyed lintels, open cast-iron porch with hipped tiled
pentice roof, doorcase with pilastered panelled reveals and
top-light, 6-panelled door with glazed upper panels.
North side: 2-window range of casements with top-lights under
brick segmental arches to right. To left is older rear wing
covered by rendered lean-to extension.
Rear gable end: projecting gable with single leaded 2-light
casement to each storey, datestone in gable inscribed `I M
1708'.
South side: older rear wing to right with central dormer and
boarded doors and casements below with brick segmental-arched
lintels. C20 casements with brick segmental-arched lintels to
left.
