Town Clock, High Street, Redcar, Redcar and Cleveland

The memorial clock tower was designed by John Dobson from Redcar. It was put up in 1913 in memory of King Edward VII. The inscription reads "1901 E.R. 1910 IN GRATEFUL AND LOYAL MEMORY OF EDWARD VII REX ET IMPERATOR. ERECTED FROM SUBSCRIPTIONS RAISED BY INHABITANTS OF REDCAR, COATHAM AND DISTRICT. It is an important local landmark.
