Description

There has reportedly been an inn called The Boar's Head in or near Perry Barr since 1793, rebuilt in the 1800s at this location, and apparently rebuilt in the pictured form in the 1930s. This clipping is a half-tone mechanical print, mounted on coloured paper, and comes from the 'Licensed Premises II' portfolio of clippings from the journal 'Architecture Illustrated'; a series of portfolios of architectural illustrations of examples of then-modern architecture produced in the early to mid-twentieth century by Architecture Illustrated of Stroud, Gloucestershire.
