Description

Photograph album, labelled 'Aerodromes: Hangers', comprising 78 black and white prints documenting the construction of hangers at RAF Abingdon between 1957 and 1959. Included are details of the pre-cast concrete yard, column bases and images showing the process of lifting roofs on 200 ton jacks. Also included are exterior views of the completed hangers and three prints showing airplanes being worked on inside the hanger.
