Photograph album labelled, 'No. 3', containing 61 black and white prints showing the construction of Sections 1, 1A and 2 of the Bank of England. Included are images of heating coils over barrel vaults, shuttering to Soane roof and saucer dome, details showing the reinforcement of basement floor and stores, demolition of southern portion and general views of the site taken from the roof of the Royal Exchange which also show Westminster Bank Head Office rebuilding in the background - a project that was also carried out by the Holloway Brothers.

Archival History

Laing Construction took over the London firm of Holloways in 1964. It is presumed that the photograph album was acquired at this point.
