Description

Field's Candle Works, now demolished, occupied a complex of buildings fronting onto Upper Marsh. During the Second World War the Lambeth premises suffered a direct hit and in 1941 the company left Lambeth Marsh for Wimbledon. This photograph was commissioned by J C and J Field Ltd.
