Description

This old people's home for Sephardic Jews, dating from 1913, was designed by Manuel Nunes Castello, architect to the Spanish and Portuguese Jews' Congregation. The main building along with the married couples' cottages to the rear (both of which overlook the Old Velho Sephardi Cemetery) were photographed for the architect.
