Description

The Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England published a volume in 1931 entitled 'An Inventory of the Historical Monuments in Herefordshire, Volume I, South-West'. This volume covered the south-western part of the county, including the cathedral city of Hereford.

This set of material comprises handwritten notes with accompanying sketches and photographs, small and large format negatives, that were created by the RCHME in the course of their investigations, and form an extensive resource for the study of historic buildings and monuments in the area.
