Description

A file created by the English Heritage Scientific Dating Team consisting of notes, correspondence and an Interim Excavation Report relating to a site in George Street, Aylesbury. The area surrounding the 400 square metre excavation site has produced a number of human burials, suggesting that there is potentially a cemetery in the locality. The site itself has had a long period of occupation/use dating from the Iron Age, through the Medieval period and into the 18th Century. The file details that the samples submitted for sampling included animal bone, human bone and charcoal.
