Description

Two black and white negatives taken for the Ministry of Works showing construction of blocks of flats on the Elmington Estate in Camberwell. The Ministry of Work was the Government department tasked by the 'Temporary Housing Act 1944/45' with alleviating the acute housing shortages in the immediate postwar years.

Only one of the negatives was catalogued in 2022. Both show very similar views.
