Outer Court of Thornbury Castle and Wall of Kitchen Court, Church Road, Thornbury - South Gloucestershire (UA)
Thornbury Castle outer court walls are currently in a poor condition. Vegetation overgrowth has gone unchecked. As a result ivy, brambles, and trees are growing out of the stonework and completely concealing certain features of the walls. It is also causing the portcullis archway to become increasingly unstable. Previously public access was allowed, however a fence has been installed which prevents people from experiencing the history of the site properly. Overall the condition of the walls requires urgent attention.
