Torr Vale Mill, New Mills - High Peak

Remarkable survival of a textile factory, c1790. Long term heritage at risk site which has seen significant improvement in the last few years. The owner runs a manufacturing business on one floor of the main block. Office space and an events venue have been created on other floors, alongside a small bar/restaurant. A former workshop range has been converted to holiday accommodation. A Historic England grant for the repair of the main mill building roof has been accepted. Project development work completed early 2020. Repair work is due to commence, subject to Covid-19 restrictions.
