Torr Vale Mill, New Mills - High Peak

Remarkable survival of a textile factory, circa 1790. Long term heritage at risk site which has seen significant improvement in the last few years. The owner runs a manufacturing business in part of the main block and has converted the former workshop range of buildings to holiday accommodation. An event venue is being created on one floor of the main building. A Historic England grant for the repair of the main mill building roof has been accepted.Grant aided investigation works commenced summer 2018. It is anticipated that repair works will follow in 2019.
