Statue of Mars with pedestal. Early C18, restored c1985. Sculptor unknown. Restoration by Andrew Naylor. Lead statue, ashlar pedestal. Overall height approximately 2.50 metres with lifesize statue. Rectangular pedestal with moulded base and cornice carries figure of Mars in Roman armour holding spear in left hand. Not in original position. One of a group of early C18. lead statues.
