Codnor Castle remains, Castle Lane, Aldercar and Langley Mill - Amber Valley
Castle ruins and earthworks dating to the early C13 and later. Formerly affected by open-cast coal mining. A major repair programme was completed in 2008. The C16 farmhouse (grade II) remained abandoned, at risk and suffering from vandalism. The Lower Court east wall is in danger of collapse and was temporarily supported. The property was sold in 2021. The new owner is progressing the refurbishment of the farmhouse as a dwelling. The Codnor Castle Heritage Trust is no longer involved with the management and public presentation of the site.
