Beck Leven Foot Bloomery: archaeological survey report

Author(s): Mark Bowden

In February-March 1996 RCHME undertook an archaeological investigation and analytical field survey of the medieval or post-medieval bloomery forge at Beck Leven Foot, Coniston, Cumbria, as part of the Furness Project. The survey also recorded cultivation remains and various minor features, including an excavation trench and structures from an experimental archaeology exercise undertaken on the site in the 1980s.
