Chapel Shaft Chimney, Snailbeach, Shropshire

This chimney was built in 1860-70. It is associated with the nearby Chapel Shaft lead mine. It was sunk in 1859 on land belonging to the Earl of Tankerville. It is linked to the Snailbeach Mining Company formed in 1783.
