Church of St Vincent, Caldecote Road, Newnham - North Hertfordshire

Parish Church, some of nave walling possibly C12. Chancel rebuilt or lengthened early C13; South aisle and west tower c1340 or earlier. 1420-40 repairs by John of Wheathampstead, Abbot of St. Albans, probably including east window, stair turret and south porch. Renovated 1881. Clunch rubble masonry with dressed stone on stair turret. Corrugated tin roof and issues with rainwater disposal system. Damp affecting interior potentially putting at risk medieval wall paintings.
