Description

The laundry building was located to the north-east of the main house but it has since been demolished. The photographer's notes state: 'The Laundry building. Evening'.

Foots Cray Place was a large 18th century house, modelled on an Italian villa designed by Andrea Palladio. It was demolished in 1950 after being extensively damaged in a fire the year before. The gardens and grounds of the house are now part of Foots Cray Meadows.
