Description

The photographer's notes state: 'On the Cray Road looking E. towards the Bull Corner. Nos 1, 2, 3 & 4 (No 4 nearest) Rutland Cottages on left. Just beyond them is the Bull Inn at the corner of the road coming in on the left from Ruxley Corner. On the further side of this road is the old block of Ivy Cottages (two dwellings). On the right side of this block you see the narrow road, known as Chapman's Lane, going uphill. The Cray road turns to the right and goes southwards through the village'.

Rutland Cottages have since been demolished and the site is now the Mill House. Cray Road has also been renamed Main Road.
