Description

The Polar Bear Pit is one of twelve surviving structures at Dudley Zoo designed by Lubetkin and Tecton, with engineering by Ove Arup, in 1935-7. This photograph shows the building shortly after its completion. The enclosure is no longer used for polar bears.
