Description

Dolphin Square was designed by S. Gordon Jeeves for Richard Costain Ltd., and was built in 1935-37. It contains over 1,200 flats, grouped in blocks, around a central landscaped garden which was laid out to the designs of Richard Sudell. The original statue in the garden was replaced by James Butler's bronze sculpture in 1987, to celebrate the square's 50 year anniversary.
