Description

The photograph is part of a batch taken by John Laing & Son to show the finished contract of Coventry Cathedral, built by the company between mid-1950s and 1962. The West Screen is engraved with figures of saints and angels by the glass engraver John Hutton (1906-1978). The screen took over 10 years to create and has 66 figures engraved on to the glass panels.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
