The International Shipperies Exhibition or "The International Exhibition of Navigation, Travel, Commerce and Manufacture", to give it its alternative title, opened in Wavertree Park in May 1886 and continued until November of that year. The life-size copy of the Eddystone Lighthouse, forming part of the exhibition, can be seen in this view.
