Horse-drawn taxis, known as Hansom cabs, and electric trams in Fitzalan Square. Electric trams first started to run in Sheffield from 1899. The overhead cables that carried the electricity can be clearly seen. Also the poles that ran between the cables and the trams to conduct the electricity.
