Lime Street Chambers, Liverpool, Merseyside
This building was originally The North Western Hotel. It dates from 1871-1896 and was designed by Alfred Waterhouse for the London North Western Railway in a French Renaissance style. It has since been used as offices. After a long period of neglect it was converted into student accommodation in 1996. It has an impressive position on Lime Street, opposite St George's Hall and next to Lime Street Station.
