School House, Godden Green, Kent

This building dates from the early 19th century. It was originally a private house, has been used as a school and is now divided into flats belonging to the Knole Park estate. It is built from stone layed in continuous courses with flint infilling. It has a hidden slate roof with a battlemented parapet and a centre gable with carved stone moulding. Historically most houses in Godden Green were lived in by people who worked on the Knole Estate.
