Sham Castle, North Road, Bathampton, Bath and North East Somerset
The Sham Castle is a folly in Gothic style designed to look like a castle. It was built in 1762 by Richard James, master mason for Ralph Allen. It was meant "to improve the prospect (view)" from Allen's town house in Bath.
