Stockwell Hall, Little Burstead, Essex

This timber framed house was formerly owned by the Earl of Mexborough. It was originally constructed in the 16th century. Then in the 18th century the manor house was refronted. To keep up appearances the owners of the house did maintain a moat, the remains of which can still be seen today.
