The Duke of York's Cinema, Preston Circus, Brighton, Brighton and Hove

The Duke of York's Cinema opened on 22 September 1910. It is one of the oldest surviving purpose-built cinemas in Britain and is largely unaltered. It was built very soon after the Cinematograph Act of 1 January 1910 was passed.
